Vacuum Gauge And Display Calibration Service
Edwards Pumping Equipment Can Be Replaced On A Service / Exchange
System
The formats listed below may be broadened to suit customer requirements
with additions such as replacement part fitment (only with customers'
prior approval), oil changes, filter box cleaning, etc. The basic
assessment checks can be seen below:
Oil Sealed Rotary Vane Pumps
- Vacuum performance check.
- Exhaust backpressure check.
- Filter examination, (pre-filter element, inlet, ballast & exhaust
as applicable).
- Oil level & condition check.
- Check for oil leaks.
- Noise level.
- Motor amp readings.
- General pump condition.
- Full written report of pump performance & condition, with
any further recommendations listed.
Depending on operating hours these types of vacuum pumps must
be serviced or assessed at least annually. In cases of high
workload or excessive conditions the servicing period would
be reduced. Vacuum Pumps NZ. can advise on the appropriate
requirements for your pumps. Following this assessment any
further work required, either on site or at our workshop facility,
would be discussed fully with our Customer prior to proceeding.
Carbon Vane Pumps
- Vacuum performance check.
- Filter examination, (pre-filter element, inlet, ballast, exhaust
and any meshes as applicable).
- Vane condition check.
- Stator bore check.
- Motor amp readings.
- Noise level.
- General pump condition.
- Full written report of pump performance & condition, with
any further recommendations listed.
Vanes that are worn below specified tolerances can break during
operation, causing severe damage. Vacuum Pumps NZ., have the
experience and technical knowledge to assess carbon vane pumps
thoroughly and effectively and can advise on the service requirements
for your pump. Depending on operating hours these pumps must
be serviced at least on an annual basis. Where new machinery
or installations are concerned, the wear factor of the carbon
vanes should be monitored carefully within the first six months
of use. This will enable a history of typical vane wear to
be recorded over a given period. The importance of this cannot
be emphasized enough, as the pump performance is directly linked
to the vane condition. Following this assessment any further
work required, either on site or at our workshop facility,
would be discussed fully with our Customer prior to proceeding.
Liquid Ring Pumps
- Vacuum performance check.
- Filter examination if applicable.
- Motor amp readings.
- Check for leaks.
- Check system set up, e.g. seal water supply, exhaust configuration,
start up procedures, etc.
- Noise level.
- General pump condition.
- Full written report of pump performance & condition, with
any further recommendations listed.
Inefficient seal washer supply and incorrect exhaust set-ups
are among the most common causes of liquid ring pump problems.
4 Ways can advise if changes or improvements need to be made
in these areas.
Following this assessment any further work required, either
on site or at our workshop facility, would be discussed fully
with our Customer prior to proceeding.
Blowers, Roots or Side Channel Pump Types
- Vacuum or pressure performance check as applicable.
- Motor amp readings.
- Filter examination, (pre-filter unit, inlet, exhaust and any
meshes as applicable).
- Oil level & condition check where applicable.
- Relief valve operation where applicable.
- Noise level.
- Full written report of pump performance & condition, with
any further recommendations listed.
